INVITATION TO ALL NATIONALS – BOOK LAUNCH – THURSDAY, MARCH 19, 2009

Her Excellency Glenda Morean-Phillip will be hosting the launch of “From Pharaoh Narmer to President Obama”, a book authored by national of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Ian Smart, at 6pm on Thursday, March 19, 2009, at the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago, 1708 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington DC 20036. Her Excellency would be delighted and honoured if all nationals would join members of staff of the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago and Dr. Smart in celebrating this launch.

Dr. Smart, a professor of Spanish and accomplished writer, has taught at Howard University since 1977 and has earned national and international recognition for his work in Hispanic studies, as well as in Caribbean and Africana studies. He has written fifteen books and six dozen scholarly studies, which have been published in the United States.
